Flip the script on drinking culture.
People who pass on alcohol — whether for health, religion, recovery, moderation, or simple preference — often get side-eyed, questioned, and quietly left out. We saw the connection between those moments and the broader crisis of belonging sweeping our culture.
So we asked: what if we made a brew that didn’t just taste great — but came with an attitude? A movement? A mascot with feathers and flair?
Enter the ostrich.
Misunderstood and often mocked, ostriches are actually fast, powerful, and unapologetically unique. Like you, we have zero time for haters. We made up the word Ostrichized to flip the script on what it means to drink differently.
So we brewed a bold, non-alcoholic companion — crafted with less alcohol (≤0.5% ABV), full flavor, and real intention.
Choose the moment that feels right for you. Sip in the way that feels authentic.
Hi friend!
I’m Whitney — founder of Ostrichized Brewing, and a queer person in long-term recovery.
Ostrichized was born from my relentless belief in a recovery-oriented future — one where people who choose to drink differently, or not at all, still get to celebrate, connect, and take up space. I wanted to create something that holds joy and complexity at the same time — just like us.
Ostrichized is a new kind of brew: a tropically refreshing, non-alcoholic beer (≤0.5% ABV), crafted with less alcohol, full flavor, and real intention.
The non-alcoholic world is full of different paths, stories, and labels. Whether you’re sober-curious, taking a break, navigating recovery, healing from something hard, or simply not into booze, you belong here.
No judgment. No shade. Just you, doing you.
Most people are recovering from something — even if it isn’t alcohol. We’re recovering from isolation, from disconnection, from being asked to shrink just to belong. I know what it feels like to be othered. To feel ostracized for being different. That’s exactly why I built a brand that celebrates us all.
Here’s to building a future where we recover together — where joy doesn’t depend on alcohol, and where belonging never asks you to compromise your truth.
Cheers,
Whitney
